Large HVAC distributor, commercial & residential brands, seeks a Territory Manager for their Commercial Sales in Greater Chicago. One will interface with new customers and existing customers to increase the sales of products and services by developing business with key or named accounts.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist customers in making product selections based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Negotiate prices, terms of sale, and service agreements.
- Ensure high post-sales satisfaction by facilitating positive, long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers.
- Set account and territory plans on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
- Host product and regulatory training events to the customer base.
- Assisting some existing customers and developing new customers
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum of five years).
- Requires expert abilities in building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and managing time.
- Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction are key.
- Requires substantial industry and product knowledge (HVAC - Commercial)
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
Compensation:
- Draw vs future commissions (which includes financial allowance for car, fuel, etc.). Per the VP of Sales, most of the TM’s fall between 160K-200K/year for their first two years, depending on drive & market.
