Join this large global raw material specialty chemical supplier's sales team in the Western Region of the USA. This is a home-based position, ideally located in the San Francisco Bay area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and entrepreneurial company, with excellent opportunities for career advancement.  It’s also a solid income opportunity with no cap. Overnight travel will be minimal, <10%.

 

Responsibilities: 

Sell a broad range of raw material specialty chemicals, such as; additives, pigments, resins, etc., to the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) markets in the Northern California Region. This is technical selling calling on labs, chemists, formulators, etc. There would also be prospecting and cold calling responsibilities to develop new accounts and opportunities.  Manage all pricing and account strategies. Travel overnight as needed.

 

Requirements: 

5+ years’ experience selling raw material specialty chemicals, with knowledge of the CASE Markets. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, and a technical degree in Chemistry or related discipline is preferred. The technical degree is not required however, you must be able to sell on a technical level. Must be a “hunter” for new business. Must also be coachable and eager to learn. Strong computer skills.

Large global raw material specialty chemical supplier. Broad product line representing some of the largest and most well-known specialty chemical producers in the world. Rapidly growing in North America, organically and thru acquisitions.

 

Compensation: 

$90,000 - $130,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.  Plus, monthly commissions:  $20,000 - $30,000 per year is a realistic average. There is no cap on the commissions and it can be much higher. It's also structured to build every year as the gross profit of the territory grows beyond the level someone comes in at.
