Position Overview:

As a Certified Orthotist (CO) or CPO at our client’s practice, you will evaluate, design, and fit custom orthotic and prosthetic devices for a diverse patient population including a pediatric focus. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient-centered care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate patients’ orthotic needs.
  • Device Design and Fabrication: Design and fabricate custom orthotic devices using advanced technology and materials.
  • Patient Fitting: Fit and adjust orthotic devices to ensure optimal comfort, function, and patient satisfaction.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the proper use and care of orthotic devices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in orthotic technology and techniques through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in orthotic device fabrication and fitting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients.
