Candidate needs to have experience in selling Natural Food Colors. Prefer someone in the mid-west but can be work from home as well. Candidate should be located near a major airport. Not looking for an account manager but a Hunter for new business.

this role is responsible for establishing go-to-market applied technology plans in alignment with business unit strategy and leads a technical team to implement technical plans, provide commercial technical support and develop application demonstrations that highlight the value of products in finished food and beverage products.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle

  • Drive prioritization across strategic activities and global customer projects for qualified opportunities within project pipeline in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the global sales team on sales calls and innovation sessions to build the opportunity pipeline and understand market needs
  • Manage target category specific GTM projects within timeline as defined by the Business Unit objectives
  • Work in partnership with marketing, research and development, operations, regulatory and management to create and implement plans and determine resource requirements
  • Develop training programs for internal and external knowledge growth
  • Create visibility of project progress, pipeline growth and tracking.
  • Technical execution of Coloration and RFI GTM roll out package on time
  • Technical success rate of global projects within project pipeline
  • Team development growth aligned with succession plan
  • Manage the UK Application Laboratory
  • Train and coach the commercial organization on the value of portfolio and technical capabilities
  • Maintain awareness of the marketplace, market products and trends to feed into strategy development
  • Document application work using standard forms and procedures and share with the Business Unit Head and global application team

You Should Have

  • BS, Food Science, or similar. Masters Degree or additional training desirable
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years’ experience in application / R&D for food ingredients, preferably colours including at least 2 years’ experience managing a technical team
  • Departmental leadership a plus
  • Solid regulatory understanding of food ingredients and foodstuffs
  • Global team player with solid interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of food ingredients with expertise in key category areas
  • Excellent recipe development skills
  • Project management, strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent analytical and math skills
  • Comfortable with formal presentation development and delivery
  • Ability to travel globally up to 20% annually
