Our client is a world leader in medical technology; offering innovative solutions in orthopedic extremity surgery, neurosurgery, and reconstructive and general surgery for over 35 years. We are supporting the Marketing team for a Director of Marketing for their Precision Tools & Instruments Franchise. This position has global commercial responsibilities for the $240+ M portfolio of best in class surgical instruments. This position will lead the upstream commercial assessment and lifecycle management for the Precision Tools and Instruments portfolio while supporting the downstream commercial execution of marketing tactics. This key leader will work in collaboration with the senior leadership team, global commercial teams, clinical team, R&D team and other functions to ensure long term growth goals are met. A key element to success in this assignment is the ability to impact both upstream and downstream marketing performance while providing coaching and development to an inline marketing team.
The Right Talent:
BS Degree required/MBA preferred
8+ years of hospital or physician focused senior marketing experience in the medical device or pharma industries
Demonstrated aptitude for successfully managing & developing clinical, technical and product managers
Global medical device marketing required
Demonstrated experience with successful large-scale product launches
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, specifically marketing and financial analysis
Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and developing business plans
Operating room product knowledge preferred
Marketing operations experience preferred
