Their site in Springfield, MO is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer.

 

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, product design, materials and operator input.
  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods without bias or blame.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  • Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • 7 + years relevant engineering experience may be substituted for degree

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • CNC Machining and Programming experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Ability to accurately measure and read calipers, micrometers, dial bore gauges, etc.
