Large North American raw material specialty chemical company is looking to fill a critical sales position, ideally based in the Atlanta, GA area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and entrepreneurial company. It’s also a solid income and career growth opportunity. Overnight travel is expected to be approximately 50%.

Responsibilities: Sell a broad range of raw material specialty chemicals (additives, surfactants, enzymes, antimicrobials, etc.) to the HI&I (Household, Industrial, and Institutional Cleaners) markets in the Southeast Region (GA, TN, MS, AL, North FL). This is technical selling to, chemists, formulators, labs, etc.  There would also be significant prospecting and new account development responsibilities. Manage all pricing and account strategies. Grow the business, both at existing accounts, but also add new accounts. Manage a new business and new project pipeline. Capture relevant account data and enter it into the CRM program (eChempax). Travel overnight as needed.

Requirements: 5+ years’ experience selling raw material specialty chemicals, preferably to the HI&I market in the territory. A college degree is required, and a technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline is preferred. A business degree is also good. Strong sales and communication skills, with demonstrated track record of sales success. Strong computer skills. Willingness to travel overnight as needed. With the right experience, be able to “take the ball and run with it”.

Company Information:  Large North American raw material specialty chemical company. The company has multiple divisions. This division is focused on selling to the HI&I markets. There are approximately 15 Account Managers on the HI&I Sales Team, covering North America.

Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 base salary, commensurate with experience. Plus, annual bonus in the 20% range on average (paid quarterly). There is no cap. Generous car allowance. Excellent benefits. Opportunities for advancement.
