Position overview:

The Embedded Software Engineer will drive the development of control software in support of several product application areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop control strategy and control software
  • Build software architecture
  • Use tools to produce enhanced software implementation
  • Collaborate with embedded hardware and application groups in the development phase
  • Develop AutoSAR specifications and configuration tools for powertrain embedded applications

Background:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering required
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive embedded software development
  • Experienced in developing control/diagnostic algorithms for automotive control systems (e.g. engine, chassis, driveline, transmission, sensors, exhaust aftertreatment, and actuators)
  • Proven expertise in integrated software development environments (IDEs)
  • Skillful in computer languages C, C++, and Matlab Script
  • Has working knowledge of Mathworks Toolchain, with a focus in autocode generation
  • Previous experience with low and high-level driver development for embedded automotive ECU, including the microprocessor or ASIC
  • Knowledgeable of functional safety (ISO26262/ASPICE)
  • Experience with developing relevant software and embedded systems (ASIL, Realtime Operating Systems, CAN tools, and TCP/UDP)
  • Accustomed to the development process of Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) software
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools such as dSPACE, Motohawk, and Open-ECU
