Facility Engineer II – Medical Device

Essential Duties and Requirements:
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) to track the plant environmental conditions
- Provide trend reports generated from monitoring systems such as BMS
- Implement improvement projects for utilities and the facility
- Lead project teams and personnel as needed to accomplish project/area objectives and manage capital projects (develop and maintain schedule as well as estimate and hold to budget)
- Suggest and develop energy saving ideas and facility improvements
- Interpret, modify, and improve building prints and utility drawings
- Utilize business systems such as work order system, change control, validations, and corrective/preventive actions
- Utilize cause mapping techniques for problem solving
- Program utility controls/monitoring systems using industrial processor (Allen-Bradley) and Scada systems
- Facilitate appropriate maintenance training for facility employees including but not limited to safety, cGMPs, job skills, JIB’s, etc.)
- Assure work orders and PM’s are performed in an efficient manner and reported as required
- Analyze, propose, and correct longer-term solutions to existing and repeating problems as well as, inspect, monitor, assess and assure the facility and equipment remains cGMP compliant and in a constant state of audit readiness
- Assist in the procurement and installation of new equipment
- Support all plant activities, i.e. VIP, TPM, 6-S, Lean, QOS teams, plant growth and development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline with 2 years of experience
- Must have demonstrated interpersonal and leadership - skills with the ability to interface well with personnel of all levels
- Must possess problem solving skills utilizing cause mapping
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret scientific and statistical data
- Required experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Office applications; Lean Manufacturing and 6s experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of facility utilities such as steam, potable water, chilled water, cooling water, HVAC, and compressed gases is preferred
- Working knowledge of energy conservation is preferred
