Our client is a leading inspector of bedding products in the Eastern US. The position is a straightforward job and the responsibilities are simple: inspect bedding for warrantable defects; take measurement & pictures, complete a report and transmit the completed report to the home office. The company doesn't deliver bedding nor remove it so there are no heavy physical demands. The company is an independent third party inspection company so the inspectors don't indicate or determine the outcome of the claim regarding whether mattress is to be exchanged or the claim is to be denied. The dealer/retailer or the manufacturer determine the resolution of the claim and will advise the customer of their decision.
Who do we need?
The inspectors are essentially in a customer service role. We need inspectors who are presentable, responsible, have good interpersonal skills, can work independently and have an eye for detail. If you don't like people, this job is not for you! Previous experience in mattress inspections or having worked in the bedding industry is a bonus but not necessary; you will be trained as to how to inspect mattresses properly and in a professional manner. The inspections are simple and straightforward. The company furnishes you with easy to use software to manage your appointments and complete the reports along with proprietary measurement instruments and train you how to use them, all at no cost to you.

A reliable vehicle, telephone, lap top computer with a tethered webcam or digital camera
Who works for our client?
The technicians come from all walks of life: university students, college graduates, stay at home moms, recent retirees, salespeople, small business owners, ex- police and military, firemen, etc. All share one thing in common: they enjoy people and enjoy working independently on their own schedule
This is full or part time, ongoing, contractual work. There is a lot of flexibility so customer inspections can be arranged around your own schedule. No one else sets your schedule- you do; you are not micro managed at all. You call the customer, book a time that works for both of you, go at that time and then send the report and pictures back to the home office. Once you leave the house, that customer's file is closed. While working independently you are still part of a larger team, so all techs have a number to call for technical back up or just moral support. Because you are considered an independent contractor, there are no deductions on the income you earn. You don't sell anything (except superior service!) and the company collects all fees from the client. You are paid weekly for all completed inspections performed.
