Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager

The Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager will be expected to align and synchronize demand planning with supply chain optimization and shipment planning, with the goal of enhancing the customer experience.

This position will rely heavily on Operational Excellence techniques (i. e. Kaizen) to improve processes and remove waste within organization, as well as the management of strategic data enhancement projects, primarily in the areas of item and customer master data management. The individual will be tasked with managing initiatives and projects in the areas of data migration, master data management, data clean up, data governance and quality. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for providing data definitions, establishing quality expectations and monitoring compliance to those expectations. This position will report to VP of Operations.

The duties and responsibilities of a SIOP Manager will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Responsible for working with sales, operations, I. T., and finance groups to facilitate the overall management strategy and approach to enhancing processes between functions and managing data integrity
  • Manage the data collection, correction and clean-up as a part of company's JDE upgrade
  • Host operational excellence seminars between sales and operations, with the intent of improving processes and creating seamless alignment between sales and operations, utilizing six sigma and other operational excellence techniques
  • Develop shipment planning processes that begin at the time the order is placed
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data management systems, processes and standards
  • Implement controls and compliance metrics to reduce data issues and improve data quality
  • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics
  • Create and refine data structure within the contact and customer master files
  • Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical result

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Finance and Operations
  • BS or BA in business or related field
  • Able to perform and understand statistical models
  • Able to articulate plans with variances and actions, able to use metrics to explain processes
  • Shows leadership qualities and able to lead teams and manage projects, Ability to work well cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • Ability to communication well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information;

Preferred Requirements:

 

  • Master’s in related field
  • Intermediate Excel experience
