This contract role includes per diem, temp housing, and travel allowance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and guide all the activities within the Emergency Department and the Clinical Decision Unit
  • Direct and coordinate various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules; coordinate the training of new personnel
  • Review, develop, and implement policies and procedures for the department
  • Evaluate all staff continually for educational needs and formally evaluate annually
  • Assume budgetary responsibilities
  • Attend meetings and participate on Committees as required
  • Maintain records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes
  • All other duties as assigned
     

Qualifications

  • BSN required, Master's preferred
  • Nursing license or Compact license in the State of OH
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • 5 years experience in Emergency Department
  • Experience with managing a department required
  • Specialty certification in emergency services or related area preferred
