Project Executive - Hospitality

Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in Commercial & Industrial construction.

We are working with a National General Contractor in the Washington, DC area that has an immediate need for a General Construction Project Executive. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience as a Project Manager working with large scale Hospitality projects with a strong focus on Retail, Restaurants ,and Hotels. We are recruiting for highly motivated and energetic individuals that are willing to visit national job sites.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage other Project Managers / Project Engineers.
  • Assist in the Business Development role.
  • Assist on the Design for new Design / Build projects.
  • Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects.
  • Prepare and manage schedules.
  • Estimate Change orders.
  • Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs.
  • Manages project budget and approves all expenses.
  • Contract Administration.
  • Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment.
  • Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
  • Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents.
  • Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors.
  • Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work.

Requirements:

  • Solid Communication both verbal and written.
  • Ability to establish timelines and budgets.
  • Ability to work with the client to maintain a positive experience.
  • Experience in cost estimation and negotiating.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings.
  • Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must.
  • Experience: 10 years experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor focused on large Retail, Restaurants, and Hotel projects.
  • A four year degree is preferred - Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
  • Past experience as a Project Executive is strongly preferred.
  • Travel Nationally 10%-20% of the time.
