  • Privately owned international specialty chemical distribution firm that specializes serving a variety of customers in the industrial, personal care and food and pharmaceutical industries
  • They’ve been in business for over 50 years and have a global footprint
  • They have expanded tremendously domestically in the last few years and have bought several well-established and profitable distributors over that time
  • The owners are committed to growing the company for many years to come


  • Due to the aforementioned inorganic and organic growth of the firm, they are in need of an Account Manager in Southern California
  • This person will be calling on a variety of personnel, including upper-level decision-makers at multinational firms
  • This person will be responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts in the personal care industry
  • Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for customers, both short and long-term
  • Manages and owns the overall account relationship to customers and is the “face” of the firm to the customer
  • Position is home-office based
  • Travel estimated 35% to 50%, depending on where candidate lives in the territory


  • Two or more years chemical sales experience is required and specialty chemical distribution experience is highly preferred
  • Technical degree is preferred but not required
  • Company greatly values intellectual curiosity
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
