Reporting to the President of a profitable, leading privately held firm that provides transportation & logistics services across the United States and Canada.

 

This is a Senior Management role and will oversee the performance of general ledger analysis; manage financial statements, quarterly and year-end reports and various monthly detailed financial analyses including maintenance and development of KPI’s. Also, responsible increasing the efficiency of the organization. Will interface extensively with individuals throughout the organization. Challenge is to coordinate the financial direction of the company to reduce costs, improve revenues and profitability.

 

Background Required:

  • Financial manager in the truckload industry (5 years)
  • P&L & Balance Sheet
  • Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Payroll, Billing, Credit & Collections
  • Cost & cash flow analysis
  • Key Metrics development & tracking
  • Accounting software – (ie: Great Plains, Peoplesoft)
  • Cost reduction & containment programs
  • Treasury functions – Asset based lenders
  • Operational accounting & interaction with operations management
  • Computer Literate: Microsoft Suite (i.e Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Education: BS or BA degree in Accounting
  • Residence: Russellville, AR (relocation assistance)

 

Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Operations Experience
  • Application of technology: (i.e. Dispatch Software, Omnitracs, TMW suite, TMT Maintenance)
  • IT Knowledge and Experience
  • CPA and/or CFA certification
  • Graduate Education: MBA or Masters (Finance or Accounting)
