Global nutraceutical ingredients supplier is looking to fill an Account Manager position, based in the Salt Lake City area. This is a home-based position focused on selling a wide range of functional ingredients to the manufacturers of nutraceutical products. The territory is mainly Utah, Idaho, and Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in the ingredient supply industry. The company always has excellent career advancement opportunities. Overnight travel should be ~25%. |

Responsibilities: Manage and grow an existing account base in the UT, ID, CO region. Sell a broad range of functional ingredients to the nutraceutical manufacturing markets in the territory. The business requires selling mainly on a commercial level and sometimes on a technical level to Scientists, Product Developers, Manufacturing Managers, and Purchasing Personnel. Always strive to develop new business opportunities at existing accounts and prospect for and develop new accounts. Manage pricing, trouble shooting, new product introductions, etc. Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and customers. Develop the sales strategy for the territory. Effectively use a CRM program (Salesforce) to manage territory and account information. Travel overnight as needed. |

Requirements: 4+ years of nutraceutical ingredient sales experience is desired. Pharmaceutical ingredient, food ingredient, or related chemical distribution industry sales experience is also a potential fit. A strong track record of sales success. High energy with the capacity to handle a large volume of activity. A college degree is required, but the concentration is open. Must be very professional, self-motivated, have competitive drive, and the ability to manage many activities, products, accounts, pricing, etc. |

Compensation: Base salary: $110,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience. Bonus: Paid quarterly and based on gross profit dollar growth over prior year; 20% - 25% of base salary per year is realistic on average. There is no cap on the bonus potential, and it is a lucrative program based solely on individual results. A choice of a company car or car allowance. Excellent company benefits. |
