Our client, a holding company of operating companies of various sizes, complexities, and investments, is searching for a new Chief Financial Officer to join their team.  The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the company while supporting the company’s overall business strategy. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with executive team, including CEO and COO, to set and align financial strategies with overall business objectives and to create annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts
  • Setting objectives and strategies for accounting team
  • Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports
  • Overseeing the company’s treasury functions
  • Assessing the company’s financial health and communicating financial information to the board, shareholders, and other leaders
  • Managing relationships with financial institutions, banking partners, outside auditors, and tax professionals
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across all business units
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks affecting the company
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting or related field
  • Current CPA license
  • Progressive corporate accounting and finance management experience
  • Big 4 or other public accounting experience preferred
  • Proven experience in leading financial reporting for an organization with multiple entities

Ideal candidates are those that work well in a collaborative and team-oriented environment and have experience working with the complexities of a multi-entity company.  The position is located in Cary, NC and is 100% in-office with some flexibility.  This is an established and growing company and the role offers an opportunity to quickly make an impact with a seat at the table.
