This is a 500+ bed acute care hospital. This hospital is a Level II Trauma Center. The American Nurses Credentialing Center recognizes this health system. The Joint Commission also awarded it the highest level of stroke care. Additionally, this health system has CARF accreditation. 

This position is under the direction of the CNO.

Responsibilities 

  • Assumes service line accountability and responsibility for the management and development of programs within the service line and for the operations and results in each designated patient care unit or department
  • May be designated to assume the authority and responsibility for directing the activities of the nursing departments
  • Provides leadership, direction, and mentoring to managers that encourages goal achievement and professional growth and assists nursing management in establishing a collaborative practice model throughout nursing
  • Adheres to the ANA Nursing Administration, Scope and Standards of Practice
  • Develops, monitors, and analyzes labor, operating, and capital expense budgets in assigned areas and assures appropriateness of human and material resource allocations
  • Develop strategies to achieve the hospital's goal for customer satisfaction in each patient care unit
