Description

 

The Market Risk IT Team develops software to measure and monitor market risk and capital for the firm's global portfolio. The platform is one of the broadest and most complex in the firm. The system runs simulations across the entire portfolio of the firm’s holdings requiring data, analytics, and compute at scale. The system currently manages petabyte scale data, daily processes terabytes of data, and runs compute across thousands of processors.

 

The firm is embarked on a major renovation of the platform and seeks senior Java engineers to help with this effort. The right candidate will be someone with sufficient knowledge and skill to make a significant contribution to the evolution of a platform of described scale.

 

Required 

  • Superior java development skills – 5+ years
  • RDBMS/SQL experience – 5+ years
  • Distributed system architecture experience
  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • DevOps mentality
  • Linux
  • Financial experience in one or more of
    • Risk
    • Analytics
    • Market data

Desired

 

One or more of the following is also desired: 

  • Database/big data experience
  • Grid compute at scale
