This company produces and processes sugar beets into sugar. It provides granulated, light brown, dark brown, and powdered sugar products; and co-products, such sugar beet pressed pulp, molasses beet pulp pellets, high energy molasses, and molasses. The company was founded in the early 1900s and has manufacturing facilities in the Rocky Mountain region.

 

Position Overview 

This sugar company has a challenging opportunity for TWO (2) E&I Team Members.  This position is responsible for the maintenance of electronic and pneumatic process control equipment throughout the union facility.  Locations: One location is in north/east Colorado AND the other is in western Nebraska.

 

Essential Functions 

  • Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated safety leadership
  • Maintenance of electronic and pneumatic process control equipment
  • Control valves and actuator repair
  • Transmitter installation, calibration and repair (temperature, level, analytical, and pressure)
  • Installing air-line tubing and conduit
  • Servicing of controllers
  • Working with voltage 24dc to 480ac and control power
  • Troubleshooting and repair of PLC and I/O systems and components
  • Work within a 8-hr rotating shift or shift operation
  • Commitment to regular attendance

 

Skill & Experience Requirements 

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent experience required
  • A strong maintenance background working on small intricate instruments to large control valves
  • Experience in a variety of control systems equipment
  • Basic understanding of multi-meter and testing equipment
  • Proven trouble shooting skills and ability
  • Willingness to clean and maintain a clean and safe maintenance area
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Willing to work an 8-hr Rotating Shift schedule
