We are currently searching for an experienced Large Loss Commercial General Liability Claims Manager/Director.

 

Our client is an A+ rated carrier serving niche insurance markets & shouldering the risks, so their clients have the security to create, explore, grow and prosper.

 

Highlights of this role:

  • You will handle a very manageable caseload of high-severity/low frequency claims.  Pending will be a target maximum of 80 claims
  • You will work in an entrepreneurial environment and be expected to have an “Ownership Mentality” giving you a lot of authority to make business decisions as you see fit
  • You will work with underwriters to develop & shape the direction of the policy and discuss industry trends or case law that may impact their respective product lines
  • You will work closely with Defense Counsel on developing appropriate litigation strategy and be very involved in deep and thorough claims investigations

It is preferred for this person to be in Chicago or St. Louis, but our client is open to someone working remotely with the right background.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Juris Doctorate preferred
  • Managerial or team leader experience preferred
  • 8+ years of experience handling complex commercial general liability, excess and other casualty claims
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills allowing you to work effectively with insureds, claimants, underwriters and upper management
