This contract role includes per diem, temp housing, and travel allowance. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the radiology department.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Manage the budget for the radiology department, including expenses for equipment, supplies, and staffing.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of radiology staff, including radiologists, radiologic technologists, and support staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient patient care, including scheduling of imaging procedures and interpretation of results.
  • Maintain and update imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Stay current with advances in radiology technology and best practices, and implement changes as appropriate.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to patient care, staff performance, or departmental operations.
  • Collaborate with hospital administrators and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to radiation safety and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Current certification as RT or Medical Imaging Professional (e.g., ARRT certification).
  • Years of experience working in radiology, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
