Position: Lab Technician

 

Description: The Lab Technician position offers an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform various simple laboratory procedures under the supervision of an ASCP registered medical technologist. Your responsibilities will include phlebotomy, computer data entry, and processing and packaging specimens for transport to reference labs. Compliance with facility Standard Operating Procedures is essential to meet accrediting agency standards, including ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policy and Directives, and Agency Standards, Rules, and Directives.

 

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
  • One year of full-time phlebotomy work
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Compliance with immunization requirements
  • Successful completion of required drug test and fingerprinting
  • Completion of facility and required training.

 

Position Details:

  • Shift Availability: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Note: Shift pattern subject to change based on hospital needs)
  • Term: 3-month contract with the option to extend to 6 months if needed
  • Location: Medical Services - Denton, TX 76210
