Job Title: Permanent Lead Dental Assistant

 

Location: Ashburn, VA 20147

 

Shift:  Day shift: Monday–Thursday, Fridays on the 1st and 3rd weeks, and the 4th Saturday of the month.

Job Responsibilities Include:   

 

  • Lead and support the dental assisting team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including implant and restorative dentistry.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Manage ordering and inventory of dental supplies and materials.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to dental assistants and new staff.
  • Take and process digital x-rays, impressions, and intraoral scans as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately in the practice management system.
  • Deliver excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing patient questions before, during, and after treatment.
  • Support front office and back-office coordination to maintain smooth daily operations.

 

Requirements: 

 

Skills - Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Knowledge of implant procedures and advanced dental treatments is a plus. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to patient care and safety.

 

Experience - Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant; lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

 

License/Certification - Dental Assistant certification in Virginia. X-ray certification in Virginia.
