Lighting Designer

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Position: Full-Time

 

We are seeking an experienced Lighting Designer to join a well-established, growing engineering design consulting firm in the Indianapolis area. Known for its collaborative approach, creative problem-solving, and commitment to sustainable design, the firm works on a diverse range of projects across commercial, healthcare, education, and mixed-use markets.

What You'll Do

  • Design architectural lighting and lighting control systems for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Develop lighting plans, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other MEP professionals throughout the design process.
  • Coordinate lighting designs using Revit and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Participate in client meetings, field surveys, and occasional construction site visits.

 

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of lighting design experience within the architecture, engineering, or building design industry.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Experience with architectural lighting systems, lighting controls, and construction documentation.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
  • Revit MEP experience preferred.
  • Lighting Certified (LC) credential preferred.
