Manager of Patient Financial Services

Midwest

 

We are seeking an experienced PFS Manager for a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital. The ideal candidate will evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance department efficiency. This role will manage hospital and physician accounts receivable (AR), oversee timely billing and collections, and lead process improvements to optimize workflow.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Business Office Staff.
  • Ensure 24/7 accountability for nursing care in the Obstetrics department.
  • Promote patient safety and address complaints.
  • Manage budgets, supplies, and equipment.
  • Oversee staff development, performance evaluations, and goal setting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field (or 10+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience).
  • 5+ years of revenue cycle or medical billing experience, with 3+ years of leadership experience in patient financial services or revenue cycle.
  • CRCP or CRCR preferred
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Expert in Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursements along with knowledge of medical billing/coding principles.
