Our client seeks an experienced mechanical design engineer at their suburban Chicago headquarters to design engineered-to-order equipment to customer specifications.

Position Overview

• Responsible for mechanical design of engineered-to-order capital equipment to customer specifications
• Create 3D CAD models, assembly and detailed parts drawings using Solidworks
• Work with the sales team to create custom and standard equipment
• Provide technical and troubleshooting support to production team members
• Enhance and improve designs to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred
• More than 10 years mechanical design engineering experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software
• Interest in learning the product line and being part of a growing organization
