OR Patient Care Director

We are currently seeking an OR Patient Care Director who will be responsible for overseeing both the clinical and managerial aspects of our patient care unit on a 24-hour basis. The role involves setting goals and objectives aligned with the hospital's strategic initiatives, as well as planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring unit activities. The Patient Care Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the fiscal responsibility of the unit, focusing on efficient and cost-effective daily operations.
In addition to financial oversight, the Patient Care Director is tasked with managing and evaluating unit performance, ensuring the effectiveness of staff, and fostering an environment conducive to the realization of both staff and patient potential. The role requires leadership and coordination of unit activities to ensure optimal and appropriate care for all age groups within the unit's specific population. This must be done in accordance with the overarching philosophy and goals of the Nursing Department and the hospital. Requirements:
- Must hold a Master's degree or be currently enrolled in a Master’s program.
- 3+ years of nursing experience, demonstrating progressive leadership responsibilities in OR/Surgical Services/Periop.
- NY RN License
- Board certification in a relevant area of expertise is required (i.e. CNOR)
- Strong preference for experience with Epic to support operational and clinical activities.
