Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician to join our client’s Central Fabrication team, based close to the vibrant city of Athens, GA. As an integral part of this organization, you will contribute to the fabrication, modification, and repair of orthotic and prosthetic devices in a dynamic and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities:

 

Fabrication and Modification:

 

Utilize a variety of materials, including plastics, metals, and composites, to fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices

Modify existing devices to meet the unique needs and comfort of individual patients

 

Precision Workmanship:

 

Demonstrate a high level of precision and attention to detail in the fabrication process

Utilize specialized tools and machinery to craft components with accuracy

 

Quality Control:

 

Conduct thorough quality control assessments of completed devices

Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies in the fabrication process

 

Record Keeping:

 

Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, modifications, and patient specifications

Document any issues encountered and the solutions implemented for future reference

 

Equipment Maintenance:

 

Ensure that all fabrication equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated

Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly

 

 

2+ years of experience OR Certification/Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics Technology or a related field.

Proficiency in working with a variety of materials and fabrication techniques.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to interpret and work from orthotic and prosthetic prescriptions.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
