Our client, a civil engineering and surveying firm, is seeking a Project Manager/Civil Engineer for transportation and geospatial projects. Best-in-class company culture, growing company, and work-life balance is encouraged from leadership.

 

This position entails preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, lead the design team effort, working closely with project engineers to develop the design, coordinate with other internal departments and sub-consultants, attending public meetings as needed, invoice clients, manage the public bid process, coordinate with contractors and internal inspectors and communicate progress with the director and clients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design and construction plans for highway and roadway improvements.
  • Familiar with industry standards of design.
  • Perform QA/QC review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Work as a part of a team to complete general transportation engineering services for state agencies, counties, and municipalities.
  • Responsible for managing project budget, and analyses throughout the entire project.
  • Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
  • Preparation of reports and feasibility studies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualification/Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or similar field of study preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management
  • 3+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering
  • PE license not required, but preferred
  • Roadway and drainage design (storm sewer, culverts, and water quality)
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communications
