Job Description:

  • We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of quality and safety. This position requires occasional domestic and international travel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary expert for internal and external audits, including BRC, FDA, kosher, and GFCO audits.
  • Spearhead quality initiatives, manage corrective actions, and implement improvements to enhance product quality and safety.
  • Review and address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Oversee product testing in production (R&D) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Promote exceptional hygiene and quality standards throughout the plant.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the plant is audit-ready at all times.
  • Foster a culture where quality and product safety are paramount.
  • Ensure compliance with FSMA/FDA regulations and IFS standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in food science, chemistry, or biology preferred; Bachelor's degree in these fields with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the food industry.
  • Experience in a commercial bakery is required.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering and utilities is advantageous.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year
  • Annual bonus: 6%
