 Chief Wealth Management Officer

 

We have a tremendous opportunity for a seasoned Wealth Management Executive in Ohio with an extensive background in leading Trust and Investment Services lines of business.  Our client, who is an Ohio based community bank, is looking for someone to provide strategic leadership to this critical function of the bank and continue the growth of AUM.

 

The Role:

 

The Chief Wealth Management Officer is responsible for leading and supporting the vision of the Bank and Trust Company as well as that of the Wealth Management business line and communicating and participating with the Board on all decisions affecting the Wealth Management Division that must be made at Board level.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Managing the division in order to meet the Trust, Estate, and Employee Benefits service needs of customers within the market area
  •  Business planning and control of the Wealth Management Division resources toward established objectives
  • Communicating and participating with the Board on all decisions affecting the Wealth Management Division
  • Implementing directives of management and the Board
  • Providing direction to key management personnel
  • Providing and presenting appropriate management reports
  • Being aware of relevant current and emerging technology platforms to deliver world class client service and sales growth

Here is what our client requires: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in a related field of study; Graduate Trust School; JD or MBA preferred; specialized trust and investment education and/or training.
  • Series 7 & 66 required (may be fulfilled within 6 months of assuming role)
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services or consulting with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
  • In-depth understanding of the financial advisor landscape
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration, written/verbal communication and team skills working with cross-functional teams
  • Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience managing functions and staff
